As far back as I can remember I have always loved draw. As a small child I would walk into my grandmother's art studio where I would be drawn in by the smell of oil paint and would be amazed at the beautiful works that she would create with the little blobs of paint on her pallete Sometimes I would sit and watch her as she would bring things to life on her canvas. I took several classes from elementary through high school but was never able to take lessons from my grandmother. She died when I was very young, but my love for art continued. Through the years I have done acrylics, pastels and painted pottery, but nothing has brought me as much pleasure as working with oils.
As an adult I started taking instruction from David and he is helping my confidence to grow(though I'm not quite a Van Gogh or O'Keefe.)
I've done a couple of paintings that should have caused me to seek therapy. BRANCHES!!! Everyone in my class will know exactly what I am talking about.
My husband David of 25 years (this May) and I have two children and two grandchildren, with another one on the way. We enjoy camping, traveling and spending time with our family and friends.
