I was blessed with two wonderful sons that have married great girls and
I have two beautiful granddaughters. For several years I have worked
with a group of cardiologists.
Being raised in a family where both my grandmothers and my mother sewed,
I was encouraged at a very early age to explore my creative side. I was
handed my first needle and thread around the age of five or six. I
enjoy most needlework including sewing, quilting, knitting and
crafting. Gardening is a big part of my life, as well.
With my sons grown, I was looking to doing something fun and exciting
for myself. I have always admired those who could draw, but believed I
could never draw a stick figure. A couple of years ago, my
daughter-in-law began an oil paint classes. With each painting she
completed, and much encouragement from her, I began toying with the idea
this was something I would enjoy doing.
In the summer of 2006, I picked up a sketch-pad and surprised myself.
February of 2007, I joined those classes. I most enjoy painting people
lost in the moment. Painting is a part of my life that will be with me
forever.
I hope you enjoy viewing my work as much as I have enjoyed creating them. Thank You
