Karen Hartley
My name is Karen Hartley and I am a pharmacist at Mid-Cumberland Regional Pharmacy. I am married to Mark Hartley and have two married
daughters-Ashley and Rachael. They have given me 3 grandsons, 3 granddaughters, and two perfect sons-in-law.

I have loved art since I was a young girl. In 1992 I found a great art teacher Shirley Pharris that I studied with her for about 14 years. It was there
that I met David Gillihan.

In 2008 I started to paint with David and the Artists on Main Painting Society.

I have also studied with Michael Shane Neal, Charles Grouppe, Margaret Dyer, Jim Horn, and Jason Saunders.

I also took a workshop with the group Cumberland Society Of Painters in Leipers Fork.

My husband and I have traveled out west for many years and this has given me a true love of western art.

I lived a “dream” on our Montana trip this year by painting on the Yellowstone River.

Another very special dream is to be asked by Mary Jane Peace at Thistle Top Inn to display my artwork. This is my first formal art show. I am
very flattered.

I like to paint all types of subject matter  and always love to learn new things.

My biggest fans are my husband, mother and my daughters. I look forward to teaching my grandchildren to paint.
