Beverly Grayson
I have always drawn and painted--until 7th grade when my teacher
criticized my drawing--I did not draw or paint again until 20 years
later, when I started to college, took an art class, majored in art, and
ended up teaching art for 20 years. My emphasis in college was in
watercolor and weaving......two very different media. My BS is in Art
and MS is in Art Education. Oil painting is very different from
watercolor in use of the canvas and application of the oil paint.
I am having to re-learn use of brush strokes and color mixing. I love
painting old buildings and landscapes and I am trying portrait
painting for the first time. My husband and I are both retired--he
from the State of Tennessee Health Department and me from
education ( Nashville Metro public schools and Goodpasture
Christian School). We had three children, now have five
grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Please enjoy my art.
Thank you so much for taking the time to view my work.
