I was born at Mt Vernon Ohio,
daughter of the Honorable David
Winfield Roupe, the sixth of seven
children. I am the mother of four
lovely daughters and nine
remarkable grandchildren. Jim, my
husband along with family and
friends have encouraged me to
paint. I have most recently started
working under the instruction of
David Gillihan, Director of Artists
On Main. I am exploring various
themes my favorite being people
simply doing what they do.
Ballerina's contemplating the
dance or truant boys in New
York City inviting you into the
painting. I am striving to bring the
feeling of life into my paintings
relating that to the viewer.
