Artist/ Art Instructor
Outstanding Art Teacher from
The Governor's School of Art

I am married to my wonderful wife, Kathy.
Who is also an artist.

We have four beautiful children and two amazing
granddaughters.  I retired from Bell South in 1988,
after 25 years of service as a Staff Manager to the
Vice President. I owned a car dealership for 20 years
with my brother until 2005.

I have been oil painting for 35 years. When I started
painting, I searched for instruction and guidance from
more experienced artists. Although I had many
instructors, I found instruction from artists Shirley
Pharris, Daniel Greene of NY, and Charles Gruppe of
Europe, especially beneficial.

In 2005, I decided to start teaching my passion-oil
painting. I have found great pleasure in sharing my
prior experience and knowledge with my students. I
have been displaying my artwork at various galleries
over the past 10 years. I have had the opportunity to
be the art director at the White House Arts and Crafts
Gallery, as well as, honored with the Gallery Award in
2005.
I currently have a studio located at 214 North Main in
Goodlettsville, TN. My goal has been to find multiple
avenues for my students to share their talents with
the local communities.

That is why we have established Artists on Main
Painting Society.

I enjoy painting wildlife, landscapes and, especially,
portraits.

We have grown and were very successful in our
debut Art show connected with Dollar General Store
Headquarters annual Art from the Heart Show.
