“Berry Boy Blue” Simply put is the passion from your inner child with no limits to the blessings
God gives…
I am married to Shannon, my Queen. We are both originally from Washington State and have
lived in Nashville, TN since 2003. I graduated from The Dallas Sound Lab in Audio
Engineering in 2002.
The passion for the arts started brewing in the first grade. I started drawing and writing
stories and I did win a couple of school contests. But when I became a hammerhead teen I
had other dreams like racing motocross and playing football for my Chicago Bears lol! And
art and writing would just be put on ice for a while.
The passion for painting started on a Saturday afternoon watching Bob Ross on TV, I had this
burning urge to paint. Even thou all this time! I had been around my dad who had started
painting in the 90’s using the Bob Ross’s technique and by the way, I think he has every
episode. But later on he switched to traditional oil painting. And of course he lives in
Missouri, go figure! So I painted a couple of paintings from the Bob Ross technique. From
there I wanted to pursue traditional oil painting. So I found the “Great” David Gillihan and
joined his oil painting class in 2005 and the fire had been lit and I had finally found my stroke!
