C.C. Miller
I was born in 1946 in Worcester, Massachusetts, but being raised in a Marine
Corps family, constant relocating was the norm. We lived in New York,
California, Nebraska, and Virginia as well as Massachusetts. I am a professional
singer, recording artist, and songwriter, but have worked in the past as a cook,
bartender, painting contractor, and naturalist. I studied marine biology at the
University of Miami. I have 4 daughters and 4 grandchildren.
In my drawing I am primarily self taught, using pen and ink as well as pencil and
charcoal. Realizing my desire to move into the medium of oils, and to improve
my skills as quickly as possible, trial and error being too time costly, I began my
search for a teacher and mentor. I was fortunate, and amazed, to find David
and the Artists On Main virtually a half mile from my doorstep.
I am looking forward to many years of artistically learning, painting, exhibiting,
competing, and who knows, maybe becoming a professional artist. Time will
tell.
