Cassandra Bennett
I am a native Nashvillian. I have been drawing so long as I can
remember. My appreciation for God's majesty in nature and life has
given me a deeper spiritual connection to God and the Universe. I have
five children and seven grandchildren. After the sudden death of my
husband in 2001, I reconnected with my innermost passion, painting.
In April 2007, I met the gifted artist/teacher David Gillihan and signed up
for his five week "beginner's class". Subsequently, my life has not been
the same.
Over the past several months I have been afforded the opportunity to
paint a "live demo" at the grand opening of the Chocolate Expression
Art Gallery and Internet Cafe. I was commissioned and have completed
nine paintings for the neurosurgery dept at Vanderbilt Medical Center,
participated in Robertson County Art Council's "Strolling thru the Arts"
charity event in Springfield, TN.
I am deeply humbled and grateful for God's fresh anointing of the gift he
gave me so long ago. Please enjoy my gallery of paintings.
