Beginning Oil Painting Classes
Week 1 – Introduction to art terms
(speaking the language) Hands on with
the oils, brushes, mediums and how to
get started. Picking the right subject
matter. Drawing it on canvas and
preparing to paint.
Week 2 – Getting started on your
painting. Mixing colors and putting oils
on canvas.
Weeks 3, 4 and 5 – We paint, paint,
and paint some more. We will discuss
techniques, shadowing, glazing, brush
strokes and other oil painting styles
and subject matters.
Class Fee: $ per month
Note: Some months will have five
weeks and some will have four.

2. Selection of subject matter
3. Weekly planning instruction will
be tailored to your painting
4. Techniques of shadowing,
glazing and various brush strokes will
be offered
5. A venue that will be shared by
other painters, interested in art and
works of art.

Some months will meet four times and
some months will meet five times,
