I am a full time stay-at-home mom residing in Ashland City, TN, with my husband, Alex, and our
daughter, Lily. We have been married six wonderful years. Lily arrived November 2007, and she blesses
our lives every day! We are very happy that I am able to stay at home with her.
Throughout my childhood and teen years I drew with pencils and charcoal. I started oil painting about
four years ago with the encouragement of my husband. Currently, I paint with a group of painters in the
Artists on Main Painting Society.
Oil painting is relaxing and challenging at the same time. I paint realistically and true to my subject matter.
I prefer to paint scenes that are pleasing and inspiring to look at. I want people to be able to relate and
understand what I have painted. I hope people enjoy looking at my paintings as much as I enjoy painting
them. My goal is to make a living by selling my paintings on a regular basis.
Seaside Serenity portrays the calm and serene atmosphere of the small coastal town of Seaside, Florida.
The beach is only footsteps away, and the sound of waves rolling in fills the air as you pass through the
gate to the front porch.
Purple Delight comes from a picture I took of my grandmother’s eye-catching purple clematis. The huge
velvety flower stood out among the shadowed leaves as it draped over the trellis. The single delightful
flower and the array of shadowed leaves has become one of my favorites.
Jamaican Rhythm is an original painting of three bongo players earning tip money. My husband and I were
at a remote rest stop in Jamaica where these gentlemen decided to provide some entertainment. I could
not resist capturing that colorful and unique moment. I chose to paint this loosely with much texture and
vibrant colors. SOLD.
Florida Dream is another painting of a cottage in Seaside, FL. Even in the dead of winter, this cottage was
cheery and alive with beautiful palms and grasses. Note the linear aspect of the painting. The numerous
lines from the door, siding, window blinds and shutters were challenging.
Please enjoy and Thank you for your interest in my art
