My name is Vicki Mayes.  I live in Goodlettsville and graduated
from Goodlettsville High School with David Gillihan.  My first
experience with art was my senior year when I took an art class
under the guidance of Mrs. Mildred Garrett.  I still have that first
painting too.

I am married to Bobby (my high shool sweetheart) and we have a
daughter and a son and they have blessed us with three
wonderful grandchildren that love almost anything that I paint.

After the children were half raised I started taking art from Shirley
Pharris (still do) in the '80's.  I took a long break from classes but
started back taking art from Shirley and from David and am loving
every minute of my time in class.  I love to paint flamingos but
have tried my hand at almost everything.  Naturally the best
collectors of my work are my two children and my Mother.  Just
give me a canvas to keep me happy..
