I am a certified Paralegal and have owned a title company, QuickSearch, Inc. since 1994. I enjoy real estate law because it is an area of law that keeps me out of the courtrooms. I loved to draw as a child but that interest gave way to piano lessons beginning at the age of 5. I haven't touched the piano in years but have enjoyed playing in different craft mediums. My husband's hobby is woodworking and we have plans to start a crafting business when we retire, "The Golden Touch Woodcrafting".Since I would like to work along side him, I thought that learning to paint would be useful so I took a couple of painting classes at JoAnn's. When they didn't satisfy my objective, in December, 2007 I went into Hobby Lobby to see what kind of painting classes they might be offering. As soon as I walked in the door, there was David doing an oil painting of (what else but law books and I said to myself, "There's you sign." I couldn't wait to give him my money to start his beginner classes and it about killed me to have to wait until February, 2008 for my first lesson. I absolutely love oil painting and look forward to the class every week. Although oil painting on a canvas is a little bit of overkill for what I originally wanted, I'll bet I could slap flowers on wooden boxes all day long now. |
